Ah, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn! Its name brings to mind images of lively boardwalks, playful carnival games, and that laid-back seaside atmosphere. 🎡🎠🎪🌊
Now this was not my first time to visit the BoardWalk Inn. I had passed through its lobby several times in the past while dining at and around the BoardWalk. Because of this, I had a general feel for its vibe.
But staying at this resort gave me a more in-depth look at this resort and all the nooks and crannies I was never able to see before.

A Tribute to Turn of The Century Atlantic City
The entire resort’s theming is a tribute to the Atlantic seaboard of the early 20th century.
Think about those elegant seaside resorts from the 1920s and 1930s – places where families would vacation, enjoying the fresh sea breeze, saltwater taffy, and gentle carousel rides. That’s the vibe that Disney’s BoardWalk Inn beautifully captures. 🎠
The architecture, with its soft pastel colors, white trims, and detailed woodwork, captures the essence of a classic era.
Everywhere you look, there are charming touches that honor the theming. Vintage-style posters, nautical elements, and even the light fixtures have been chosen carefully to reinforce the theming.
And check out this vibrant rug located on the main floor in front of the elevators. It portrays the whimsical, carnival-like theming. And can you find the hidden Mickey on the rug?
The BoardWalk Experience

The BoardWalk Inn not only offers luxurious accommodations and outstanding amenities but also has an unbeatable location. Nestled right between two iconic parks, steps away from vibrant entertainment, and surrounded by serene landscapes, this resort promises a memorable experience.

Location, Location, Location!!
For me, the standout feature of this resort is its prime location! BoardWalk Inn is conveniently nestled between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Being in such proximity means you’re just a short walk or boat ride away from iconic attractions like Spaceship Earth, the World Showcase, Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the Tower of Terror.
In case you didn’t know, I’m a huge fan of EPCOT! It’s my favorite park! 🌐
So, being so close to EPCOT is a dream come true! I love the luxury of entering the park at the International Gateway and then stepping right into France to catch a ride on Remy at rope-drop at then a pastry afterwards at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie! 🇫🇷

Right on the doorstep of the BoardWalk Inn lies the charming Disney BoardWalk. It’s a beautifully crafted promenade with a blend of dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Serene Setting
Even though BoardWalk Inn is centrally located between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, it feels like a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the parks. I love the monorail resorts, but they seem much more crowded and chaotic than the EPCOT resorts.
Additionally, BoardWalk Inn is situated on the picturesque Crescent Lake, providing the perfect setting to relax and rejuvenate after a day full of adventures.
Nearby Resorts & Amenities
The BoardWalk Inn overlooks the serene Crescent Lake. Just a short stroll across the lake, you’ll find Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. This proximity allows you to easily explore these neighboring resorts and indulge in their dining options, including the popular Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at the Beach Club Resort.

First things first, let’s talk about what a standard room offers at the BoardWalk Inn:

- Room configurations like 1 King Bed with a Day Bed, 2 Queen Beds, or 2 Queen Beds with a Day Bed 🛌

What’s most amazing about these rooms is that they sleep up to 5 adults! Most standard hotel rooms sleep only 4, so you know how nice this is if you are a family of 5 like myself.

Inside Our Room
During our stay, my daughter and I enjoyed a Resort View Room with a view of the Village Green Lawn and a slice of Crescent Lake. Our cozy setup included 2 Queen Beds and a sofa bed.
The fresh palette of the newly remodeled rooms at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is immediately striking, with a clean and contemporary feel throughout. My favorite part of the room was the super cute decor art on the walls! Disney characters are woven into scenes that capture the essence of the turn-of-the-century Atlantic City theme, giving the rooms a playful yet sophisticated charm.
Look how adorable the artwork displayed behind the coffee maker is. I love Mickey and Minnie having a picnic in their appropriate themed attire on the Village Green Lawn of the resort. It’s details like these that make staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn an extra special treat!

Depending on what room or suite size you get it can sleep up to 9 people in a 2-bedroom suite! This 2 bedroom suite is perfect for those traveling with a larger family or group.

While Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is a deluxe hotel offering standard rooms and suites with hotel amenities like room service and housekeeping. It’s ideal for those looking for a traditional hotel stay.
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, part of the Disney Vacation Club, offers more spacious, home-like accommodations with features like kitchenettes or full kitchens and, in some cases washers and dryers. They’re great for families or guests who prefer the comforts of home and might be staying longer.
NOTE: Disney’s BoardWalk Villas and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn are located in the same building!
The Studio rooms sleep up to 5 guests and feature comfortable accommodations with a kitchenette a small fridge and microwave, and a balcony.
The one-bedroom villas sleep up to 4 and feature 1 full bathroom with 2 sink areas, a full kitchen, living and dining areas, and a balcony. They also have a washer and dryer which is an excellent addition for families!

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Pools
My daughter and I didn’t get a chance to dive into the pools during our visit, but we certainly took the time to explore the pool areas.
Luna Park Pool (Main Pool)
I was particularly eager to see the Luna Park Pool 🎪, inspired by the playful vibes of a 1920s carnival. At its heart is the Keister Coaster water slide, stretching 200 feet and uniquely designed to mimic a vintage wooden roller coaster 🎢.
This pool used to feature a clown’s face at the slide’s exit, but it’s since been refreshed with a fun, classic Mickey/Minnie design. This change was much appreciated as the old clown design was off-putting for many, especially kids who found it eerie.
It’s worth noting that Disney heats its pools to a cozy 80 degrees all year round, ensuring you can enjoy a dip no matter the season. Luna Park Pool often hosts lively pool parties 🎉 and entertaining games. For specific events during your stay, it’s handy to glance at the resort’s Recreational Calendar 🗓️.
Adjacent to the Luna Park Pool is a kiddie pool, tailored for toddlers and little ones eager to splash around. Right beside it, a children’s playground 🤸♂️ awaits, providing the young ones with the freedom to switch between play and pool fun!
Next to the Luna Park Pool is a carousel-themed pool bar, Leaping Horse Libations. It offers a variety of snacks, drinks, and light bites to keep you refreshed. 🍹
Other Pools at BoardWalk Inn
For those looking for a quieter atmosphere, the resort also offers two leisure pools 🌅 – one beside the BoardWalk Inn and another alongside the BoardWalk Inn Villas. These ‘quiet pools’ are ideal for a calm swim or some laid-back reading time 📖.
BoardWalk Inn also offers whirlpool spas great for relaxing after a long day exploring the parks.
Lifeguards are present during pool hours, ensuring everyone’s safety. And for your convenience, towels are always within reach.

If you’re looking for good food and diverse options, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has one of the largest selections of all the Walt Disney World resorts
And the best part? You don’t even have to be a guest to indulge at any of the restaurants or eateries here! The BoardWalk is open for all to enjoy!!
Trattoria al Forno
Trattoria al Forno, situated on the BoardWalk, is a delicious spot for Italian cuisine, serving up both breakfast and dinner. 🇮🇹
On a family vacation to Italy, we learned that a typical Italian breakfast is quite minimal, usually just a pastry and cappuccino. At Trattoria al Forno, however, the breakfast menu offers a hearty American twist, featuring items such as the crowd-pleasing Mickey Waffles.
My daughter and I chose Trattoria al Forno for her birthday dinner, and it didn’t disappoint! 🎉 While I tend to gravitate towards lasagna at Italian eateries, I decided to switch it up and try the Oak-grilled Strip Steak Florentine — it was delicious! Ava went for the pizza. We kicked things off with their standout garlic bread, which was impressively large and packed with flavor — a must-try. 🍞
We were quite full by the end of our meal and skipped dessert, but in true Disney spirit, they brought out a complimentary birthday treat. 🧁
Pizza Window
At the Pizza Window on the BoardWalk, you can enjoy classic pizzeria fare, featuring hot, fresh pizza by the slice or whole, complemented by side salads for a lighter touch. 🍕 Don’t forget to treat yourself to a sweet finish with their Mini Cannolis for dessert. It’s a perfect spot for a quick, satisfying meal.
Flying Fish
Flying Fish on Disney’s BoardWalk offers a top-notch seafood dining experience, with a selection of fresh dishes that are both tasty and beautifully prepared. 🍤 Not a seafood, person they also serve steak. 🥩 It’s a great spot for a special dinner out, whether you’re with family or enjoying a night for two. With its inviting setting and delicious menu, it’s a place you’ll want to come back to for more.
Big River Grille & Brewing Works
At Big River Grille & Brewing Works, you’ll discover an on-site brewery paired with a family-friendly restaurant atmosphere that’s a hit with both adults and kids. 🍻🍔 It’s a unique spot on Disney’s BoardWalk where you can enjoy freshly brewed beer alongside a varied menu featuring everything from hearty burgers and crispy nachos to fresh sandwiches and savory quesadillas.
Perfect for a laid-back lunch or a casual dinner, it’s a place where everyone can find something to satisfy their cravings while enjoying the homegrown flavors of a craft brewery experience.
BoardWalk Deli
BoardWalk Deli, formerly known as BoardWalk Bakery, serves up delicious sandwiches, salads, pastries, and desserts. It’s perfect for a quick and tasty meal while you’re enjoying the sights of the BoardWalk.
Whether you’re in the mood for a quick breakfast bagel, a giant Mickey cinnamon roll (my favorite), a hearty deli sandwich for lunch, or an afternoon coffee accompanied by a sweet pastry, the deli has something for everyone.
Carousel Coffee
Start your day or get that mid-afternoon boost with a cup from Carousel Coffee. ☕️ This coffee shop is conveniently located right off the lobby.
The great thing about Carousel Coffee too is there was never more than 1 person in line when I visited which was excellent! And I visited twice a day while we were there.
But besides coffee, they also have pastries, fruit, yogurt, overnight oats, juices and more.
Carousel Coffee is your spot at BoardWalk Inn for a convenient and quick spot to energize you for your Disney adventures.
BoardWalk Ice Cream
When you need something cold and sweet, BoardWalk Ice Cream is the spot. They offer a range of ice cream flavors, milkshakes, and sundaes. They even have the huge Mickey Kitchen Sink Sundae served in a souvenir sink bowl! 🍨
BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas
BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas is a drink/snack stand on the BoardWalk offering you guessed it margaritas! 🍹 But besides margaritas, they offer a variety of adult beverages including wine and beer.
But they not only serve adult beverages but also a DOLE Whip Smoothie and snacks such as Mickey Pretzal and nachos with cheese.
Need to cool down? Stop by for a chilled margarita or another refreshing drink.
AbracadaBar
AbracadaBar at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is a charming magician-themed cocktail lounge, reminiscent of the 1940s. This bar is connected with Trattoria al Forno so I got a glimpse into the bar while walking to the restroom.
The ambiance is magical with a dim, intimate setting with magician’s memorabilia.
The Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers – COMING SOON!
I’m eagerly anticipating the opening of The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at the Disney BoardWalk. 🎂 This isn’t just another spot to grab a quick bite; it’s an entire experience offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and of course, desserts and cocktails. I’m excited to see how the Cake Bake Shop will transform the dining scene here with its array of options.
Whether it’s starting the day with a delightful breakfast, enjoying a leisurely brunch, or pausing for an elegant afternoon tea, I’m ready for it all. If you’re traveling with little ones, they’re going to love the playground. 🛝 A safe space for kids to play and let out all their energy. This is conveniently located next to the kiddie pool at the Luna Park Pool.

Various arts & crafts go on in the Community Hall at BoardWalk Inn. 🎨 During our stay, they had mosaic making, Mickey tie dye, create a necklace or bracelet, and more!
Tennis & Pickleball:
Brush up on your backhand or simply play a friendly match at the resort’s tennis courts. 🎾 Now with pickleball too! Equipment is available, so you don’t have to worry about packing your racket. They even offer pickleball clinics!!
Arcade:
For the gamers out there, there’s an arcade filled with a mix of classic and new games. Perfect for some indoor fun! The arcade is conveniently located between the main pool and the Village Green Lawn.
