Where to Get Breakfast in EPCOT- 2023

So maybe you’ve come here because you’re planning in advance and would like to know the best places to eat breakfast in EPCOT or maybe you are at Disney now and are frantically trying to figure out where to grab breakfast at last minute.

Either way, I’m here to help you find the best spots for breakfast in EPCOT.

**Things are constantly changing at Walt Disney World, especially since the reopening. I will keep you updated as far as what restaurants are currently open and serving breakfast.

Quick-Service Breakfast in EPCOT

EPCOT is known for having the best food in all of Walt Disney World. However, when it comes to breakfast, options are pretty slim.

Here are the few quick-service places offering breakfast in EPCOT, where you can quickly grab something to fuel your day. You do NOT need a reservation.

1. Sunshine Seasons

Sunshine Seasons is a quick-service, food court-style restaurant located in The Land Pavillion next to Soarin’ and Living with the Land.

If you are heading to Soarin’ first thing in the morning, this is a great stop to grab breakfast.

They have many choices including a hot breakfast platter with French Toast, eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage. Other options include oatmeal, cereal, a breakfast croissant sandwich, and a bagel with cream cheese.

Your kids will love the kid breakfast platter, which includes scrambled eggs, bacon, and cinnamon French Toast with a drink.

There are a wide variety of caffeinated beverages including coffee, hot tea, espresso, cappuccino, iced lattes, and iced coffee. Fountain drinks, orange juice, apple juice, white milk, chocolate milk, and hot chocolate are also available.

Fun Fact: What’s so cool about Sunshine Seasons and Garden Grill Restaurant is that the produce and seafood cooked here are grown at the greenhouses located right here in The Land Pavilion. Jump on the Living with the Land boat ride after eating breakfast to learn all about what Disney grows here at EPCOT.

PRO-TIP: Ride Soarin’ first before eating breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. The wait for Soarin’ will get much longer as the morning progresses.

2. Connections Café/Starbucks

As of 4/21/22, Connections Café/Starbucks has replaced Traveler’s Café/Starbucks. This new Starbucks is located in World Celebration near Club Cool and Creations Shop.

For all you Starbucks lovers, this is the place to get all your favorite Starbucks beverages, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries.

Plus, how fun is it to drink Starbucks out of a cup covered in Mickey, Minnie, Tinkerbell, and Mickey balloons!!

A Starbucks iced latte is always a good idea.  Stop here for a quick breakfast in EPCOT

If you are a Starbucks mug collector, stop at the Port of Entry to purchase the EPCOT 50th Anniversary Mug!

PRO-TIP: Early mornings are a great time to go to Starbucks. Afternoon waiting lines can be crazy long.

3. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is a French bakery located in the France Pavilion. It’s a great option for those entering through the International Gateway in France.

Eating pastries in France is a good idea.

Here you will find a wide selection of pastries including beignets, pain au chocolates (chocolate croissants), and croissant amandes (chocolate croissants with almond filling). There are also many sandwiches and specialty items including croissant salé (eggs, cheese, and bacon on a croissant).

To go along with your yummy pastry or sandwich, grab an espresso, cappuccino, latte, café (coffee), or even a mimosa! The kids will love a chocolat chaud (hot chocolate), lait au chocolat (chocolate milk), or a fountain beverage.

Early morning is the best time to come here if you’d like to try this super popular bakery in EPCOT. Lines at lunch into the afternoon can get crazy long!

As they say in France, Bon appetite!

PRO-TIP: “Rope Drop” Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and then head to Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie after you exit the ride.

4. Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is a delicious, quick-service, Norwegian Bakery located in the Norway Pavilion. It’s the perfect place to grab breakfast in EPCOT if heading to Frozen Ever After in the morning.

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is a quick, delicious stop for breakfast in EPCOT.

This bakery offers some delicious Norwegian pastries including school bread, which is a sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut. Lefse is a soft flatbread rolled with cinnamon, sugar, and butter. Eplekake, an apple cake with caramel drizzle.

They also have Mickey cinnamon rolls.

No shortage of caffeine beverages here either. Joffrey’s Coffee, Joffrey’s cold brew, espresso, cappuccino, caffe latte, and frozen coffee. Your kids will enjoy the fountain beverages.

They also offer an adult beverage-frozen Viking coffee! This includes Baileys Irish Cream and Kamora Coffee Liqueur with coffee-chocolate sauce.

If you don’t make it to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe for breakfast, stop by at any other time of the day. The pastries are AMAZING!!

PRO-TIP: Rope Drop Frozen Ever After before the line gets crazy long and then go next door to grab your food at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe.

Character Breakfast in EPCOT

There are two character dining options in EPCOT. Character dining is so much fun for the whole family, but especially fun and magical for toddlers and young kids while at EPCOT.

**Unfortunately, since the reopening these two character dining options are only for lunch or dinner.

5. Garden Grill Restaurant (Temporarily Closed for Breakfast)

As of right now, Garden Grill Restaurant is the ONLY character dining at EPCOT. Unfortunately, they are currently not open for breakfast. I really hope this changes soon and they bring breakfast back!

When breakfast was served, many delicious items were served family-style including Mickey Waffles and their signature dish Chip’s Sticky Bun Bake.

However, if your looking for a character meal in EPCOT this is a great choice for lunch or dinner.

Characters seen at Garden Grill Restaurant include Chip ‘n’ Dale, Farmer Mickey, and Pluto. Besides characters, what also makes Garden Grill Restaurant fun is it is a rotating restaurant!!

Advanced Dining Reservations are required for Garden Grill Restaurant. You can conveniently book on the My Disney Experience App. However, if you don’t have a reservation check the My Disney Experience App while at EPCOT to see if you can “Join the Walk-Up List.”

Lunch begins at 11:30 am. Allergy-friendly options are available.

6. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Reopening May 14th for breakfast!!)

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located at the Norway Pavilion is the princess dining location at EPCOT.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is an excellent princess character breakfast at EPCOT.

Princesses seen here at the Princess Storybook Dining include Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Princess Aurora, and Ariel.

Breakfast here includes typical American breakfast items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, and fruit. They also incorporate many Norwegian foods.

Eating at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is an excellent option for those that can’t get into Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom.

Breakfast in EPCOT Resort Area

There are some great breakfast options in the EPCOT Resort Area. They are very convenient for those staying at one of the EPCOT Resorts. However, if you are not staying at an EPCOT Resort, you can still eat breakfast at one of these resorts and take advantage of its close proximity and prime location to the EPCOT International Gateway.

For those that do not know, the EPCOT International Gateway is the “other” entrance/exit to EPCOT. It’s also the access point for the Disney Skyliner.

Entering the park at the International Gateway lands you between the France and United Kingdom Pavilions, a perfect landing spot for those wanting to head first to the most popular ride at the park, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in France.

If you’d like to eat breakfast at an EPCOT Resort you have a couple of options. You could eat before entering the park or you could eat a later breakfast after entering the park.

If you’d like to eat before entering the park, grab an Uber or Disney transportation to drop you off at one of these Resorts/restaurants.

BoardWalk Deli

BoardWalk Deli located on Disney’s Boardwalk is a great quick service option if you are staying in one of the EPCOT Resorts.

They have delicious breakfast sandwiches. They also offer an assortment of pastries and bakery items including croissants, muffins, banana bread, bagels, danishes, and a giant Mickey cinnamon roll!

Boardwalk Bakery is another great quick option for breakfast in EPCOT Resort area.


Beverages include orange juice, sodas, white milk, chocolate milk, and hot chocolate.

And of course, they also have many specialty coffees including caffè latte, cappuccino, Joffrey’s cold brew, double espresso, and Joffrey’s Coffee

Cape May Cafe

Cape May Cafe is an all-you-can-eat-breakfast buffet, located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. They have everything here for the whole family to enjoy to fuel your day at EPCOT.

Beach Club Resort is a very close walk to EPCOT’s International Gateway Entrance. In fact, Beach Club Resort is the closest resort to EPCOT. The atmosphere is very calm and soothing, a world away from the chaos at the parks.

Cape May Cafe is a wonderful choice to fuel you day at EPCOT.

The server will start you off with a basket of delicious salted caramel “Beach Buns” with a vanilla cream dipping sauce. Then you can head to the buffet where you will find Mickey and Minnie Waffles (Yes, Minnie waffles!), scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, chocolate chip pancakes, french toast, oatmeal, grits, omelets, and more!

Cape May Cafe serves Minnie Waffles!

Your smaller kids will enjoy helping themselves at the “shorter” buffet bar sized just for them.

Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. Advanced Dining Reservations are required for Cape May Cafe. Make sure to book your reservation on the My Disney Experience App.

PRO-TIP: Book an early breakfast at 7:30, so you can be at the International Gateway at the park opening or shortly after.

Trattoria al Forno

Trattoria al Forno is another great EPCOT Resort Area table-service breakfast option. Located on Disney’s beautiful Boardwalk, close to Boardwalk Bakery, Trattoria al Forno offers many options to please adults and kids.

Trattoria al Forno is a yummy restaurant for breakfast in EPCOT Resort Area.

Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. This would make a great early morning breakfast before heading to EPCOT or as a late breakfast after exploring some of EPCOT.

This breakfast in EPCOT’s Resort Area has a wide selection of entrees including oak-grilled steak and eggs, sunrise breakfast pizza, buttermilk pancakes, tiramisu-style french toast, pastries, avocado toast florentine frittata, and a fruit plate including yogurt and granola.

Sides include bacon, sausage, steel-cut oatmeal, breakfast potatoes, and Mickey Waffles!

Some entrees for kids include a Mickey egg white omelet, two eggs any style, a fruit and yogurt plate, buttermilk flapjacks, and Mickey Waffles! Kids also have a choice to create their own (choose two) of the following: mixed fresh fruit, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and one egg-any style with bacon.

They also have an allergy-friendly menu!

Trattoria al Forno was the site of the Bon Voyage Character Breakfast. Since the park reopened, the character dining has been unavailable. Characters seen here included your favorite characters from Tangled and Little Mermaid including Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider.

I’m hoping this character dining will come back to Trattoria al Forno soon!

Ale & Compass Restaurant

Ale & Compass is another option for breakfast in EPCOT’s Resort Area. Located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, a short walk from EPCOT’s International Gateway this makes for a perfect early morning or late morning breakfast.

Ale & Compass Restaurant is a great table service breakfast in EPCOT Resort Area.


Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. At Ale & Compass, you can choose from the breakfast buffet or order from the menu.

The breakfast buffet includes seasonal fruit, yogurt parfaits, granola, assorted breakfast pastries, cheddar biscuits, and country gravy and cinnamon rolls. The buffet also includes your choice of beverage.

Some of the entrees served here include your traditional American breakfast of eggs, bacon or sausage and potatoes, country ham and cheddar omelet, dark chocolate waffle, crab cake benedict, salted caramel apple french toast, blueberry pancakes, and a breakfast protein bowl.

Kid menu items include Mickey waffles, a fruit plate, blueberry pancakes, and an egg, ham, and cheddar sandwich.

Kids also have the choice to create their own (choose two) of the following: breakfast potatoes, sweet potato, fruit, turkey bacon, bacon, sausage, and a sunflower butter cookie.

They also have a large allergy-friendly menu.
